Salmon sashimi still consider fresh.

Ah Lam Abalone Noodle at 460 Race Course Road Singapore

Ah Lam Abalone Noodle

It seem many years that I had not been here to try Ah Lam Abalone Noodle. Finding a parking lot around Race Course Road is not easy. It took us about 15 mins to get a parking lot.

Minced Pork Noodle with Abalone
SGD $6.00
Rating : 9/10

This bowl of noodle taste really good. Even though the 3 pieces of sliced abalone were not under quality grade  but still acceptable.

Noodle only served with a small portion include some minced pork and meat balls. I can said chilli sauce mixed well with the noodle which texture was QQ chewy.

Fish Maw Soup (Small)
SGD $8.00 ++
Rating : 8/10

Beside noodle, you can also try soup which served in a small claypot .

Fish Cake
SGD $1.20
Rating : 8/10

Mackerel Fish
SGD $3.00 per piece
Rating : 6/10

Fish after deep fried was too dry without moist and too bland.

Kopitiam Food Court @ Sembawang Sun Plaza

San You Taiwanese Food
Today around Sembawang area, since at Sun Plaza, drop by food court to settle for our lunch.

Just look at the menu, so many types of Taiwanese dish for us to order. Nevertheless, I still prefer to stick with Claypot Braised Meat with Preserved vegetable.

Oyster Mee Suah
SGD $4.50
Rating : 6/10

I was quite disappointed with the Mee Suah.  Oysters don't really taste fresh and Mee Suah soup was too bland.

Xiao Long Bao
SGD $4.50
Rating : 4/10

Even though Xiao Long Bao food price was reasonable but meat filling has a weird taste. It seem minced pork was not fresh.

Claypot Braised Meat with Preserved Vegetable
SGD $5.5
Rating : 8/10

I still prefer Claypot Braised Meat rice. This set meal consider the best set among all the food in this stall.

Lee Kwang Kee Chicken Rice
SGD $3.50
Rating : 6/10

There was long queue of people waiting at this stall. Seem quite popular and we order 1 set to try. After eating, I think Chicken rice taste average.

Bao Luo Wan Xiang (Dim Sum)
Braised Pork Ribs
Rating :6/10

Pork ribs don't really taste good with the sauce. Very strong Black Bean Paste smell but it seem too strong and make the pork ribs taste bitter.

Lotus Leaf Rice (He Ye Fan)
Rating : 6/10

I always like food made of glutinous rice. However, this stall Lotus Leaf Rice was quite a disappointment.

Tasteless for glutinous rice even eat with the braised meat.

Wei Wei Shi Pin 威威食品 - Blk 4A Woodlands Centre Road, #02-11 Singapore

Wei Wei Shi Pin
威威食品

Eason has recommended this stall to me many times. Fish soup was one of my favourite food. Since we are around this area, drop by for our dinner.

You will be shock to see the price list which pricing start from SGD $5.50 to SGD $11.00

Fish Soup with Rice
SGD $5.50
Rating :  8/10

This stall used Dory fish as ingredient, fish meat was freshed and into thick sliced.
As for the soup, I really don't understand why the soup was less than half bowl. Nevertheless, soup taste really delicious.

For the minced pork, even though minced pork taste really good but too much fatty parts. Maybe for individual taste bud and preference, I really don't like the texture.

Overall experience, I still think this bowl of Fish Soup is worth to try.

Char & Grill (Western Food)

Black Pepper Sirloin Steak
Rating : 8/10

Sirloin steak with black pepper sauce and sliced onion. With the side dish choice of baked potato and cheese pasta. This set of meal cost less than SGD $10.00.

Steak texture was not too hard because steak was cooked within medium rare.

As for mushroom soup, just minimum top up of SGD $1.50. Soup taste really good and creamy.

Bao Ji Shao La Mian Jia
宝记烧腊面家

Roasted Duck + Roasted Meat Rice
SDG $4.30
Rating : 8/10

Roasted duck taste really delicious but too bad stall helper only give me the portion with too much bone. I am not a eater that appreciates bone parts.

Roasted meat also taste good but the skin area was not so crispy. As for the vegetable, this stall has replace cucumber with Bak Choy (Xiao Bai Cai 小白菜)

One thing that disappointed me was the rice. Rice texture was too soggy. With the gravy on top of the rice, some people might not like the sticky texture.

Overall , I think SGD $4.30 is still reasonable and worth the value to try.

During lunch hour, 1 passed by a coffeshop at Blk 49 Teban Gardens.  I was quite surprised there was a unique Western Stall named O'Blarney.

Except the crab meat stick, overall pasta taste really good. Strong pepper taste but not really spicy.

Deep Fried Mushroom
Rating : 8/10

I like this side dish very much.,Plump Shitake mushrooms deep fried with crispy layer. Dipped with Tartar sauce and mushroom taste even better.
