Free and Easy Trip in Penang - Day Tour - Day 3 - Part 1 - Dated 12 Sep 2013

We decided to skip Hotel's breakfast. Now time is around 10.30 am, we have planned to do some walking around Georgetown.

Start our journey to find good food.

Passed by this coffee shop selling Halal food.

Passed by a hotel named Red Rock Hotel.

We came to Yummy Cottage, look like a food centre.

We don't really like the sauce of the Chee Cheong Fun, so never order from this stall.

Stall selling Chinese Tze Char (煮炒)

Fried Mee Suan
RM $3.50
Rating : 8/10

Order one plate of Fried Mee Suan (炒面线). Fried Rice Vermicelli tasted good. Fresh ingredients used in this dish.

Deep Fried Sliced Fish Noodle soup

Soup taste average but this stall has used a sliced of ginger to cook with the noodle. Noodle goes well with the soup.

Rating : 7/10

Beside the Fish Soup noodle, ordered a bowl of fish ball soup with some fish cake and dried Beancurd Skin.

Rating : 7/10

Order Roasted Chicken meat with rice for little Javier. Look like Soya Sauce Chicken Meat which we don't really like. Chicken meat seem dry and overcooked.

Rating : 5/10

Char Siew (Roasted Pork) tasted average, dry and too hard.

Rating : 6/10

Order a bowl of Prawn Noodle with Pork Rib. Soup base is dilute with very strong prawn smell. I thought I am having Mee Siam. Prawn was not fresh and small.

We were quite disappointed with today food for breakfast cum lunch.

Rating : 5/10

Fresh made lime juice with plum. Taste good and refreshing.

Rating : 9/10

Outside this food centre, there was a stall selling fruits.

I bought one packet of guava and one packet of dragonfruit. Fruits was fresh and sweet.

To be Continued ....
